Smoky the Brave

Four-pound Yorkshire terrier Smoky was found in the damage of the war in the Pacific and taken in by US troops, going on to parachute with the regiment using a specially-built rig designed for her size, and to run a telephone line along a tunnel too narrow for humans, facilitating important battlefield communication.
